What you’ll do as a Surface Mapper

  • Log invasive plant observations while boating as usual

  • Enter observations using a simple smartphone app (Survey123)

  • Take photos

  • Training provided

 

Time commitment

  • Completely flexible

  • Contribute as little or as much time as you wish

  • Even one outing helps

  • Mid-July to late–August 2026

 

Volunteer numbers

  • Minimum: 15 volunteers

  • No maximum, as many people who want to help can

 

Good fit if you:
✔ Want maximum flexibility
✔ Prefer independent, low-pressure volunteering
✔ Already spend time boating on the lake
