President - Doug McCarthy
Doug is a retired senior executive from a global management consulting and technology firm. He and his wife Ann have been enjoying lake life on Moira since 2013. Doug has many year's experience on not-for-proft Boards and hopes to apply that to the advantage of the MLPOA. One of Doug's favourite things is to spend time on the screen porch enjoying the view of the lake with a coffee in the early mornings.

Doug is also the Lake Steward for Moira Lake.
Past-President - Joe Kaehler
Joe is a retired "New Product Supply Chain" specialist. The Kaehler Family have enjoyed the lake for over 20 years, the first ten as a cottager before renovating to a full-time resident. He's a passionate volunteer at O Hara Mills, as well as the MLPOA, and continues to sit on both boards.
Treasurer - Anne Kaehler
My husband Joe and I rebuilt our cottage in 2012 to fulfill our lifetime dream of living on the lake. A Realtor with Royal lePage in Tweed, originally from the U.K., I appreciate the village feel to Madoc and the amazing folks around the lake. Currently your treasurer, I have always been a strong volunteer and I’m proud to be a life member of The Kin organization. My hope is to help organize some social events to take advantage of all the lake has to offer.
Vice President - Cid Palacio
Cid relocated to Madoc in 2020 after falling in love with the beauty of Moira Lake sunrises and the welcoming spirit of the community. She is the owner of ART on 62 Fine Art Gallery in town and brings over 30 years of experience in marketing and finance. Before moving to Madoc, Cid spent ten years leading the ART for Cancer Foundation, a charity offering creative programs for individuals affected by cancer.
Director - Dianna Patch
In the 1970's Dianna and her husband built a cabin on the Moira River. In the early days they once spent a complete year living without hydro or in-house water, bringing water from the stream via toboggan. For the last 26 years Dianna has lived full-time on the lower lake, enjoying the Lake and all its creatures, in all its seasons. She brings a wealth of historic knowledge and perspective to the Board. On the personal side, Dianna is a mother, teacher, caregiver, line dancer, hiker, dog & cat rescuer, and great-grandmother.
Director - Andy Sherwin
Andy has been enjoying the beauty of Moira Lake since he was two months old, the age when his parents first brought him to the family cottage.

The lake is a very special place for the Sherwin family, in part because Andy’s parents first met each other at Camp Quin-Mo-Lac in the late 1950’s.  And years later, Andy met his future wife at Quin-Mo-Lac as well!

When not relaxing with his family at the lake, Andy keeps himself busy as the Managing Director of the software technology firm Advanced Solutions International-Canada, Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of Advanced Solutions International, Inc., where Andy also fulfills the role of Vice President, North America Sales.

Secretary & Social Chair - Sharon Abraham
Sharon and her husband Dean bought their Lakehouse in early 2019 and by the summer of 2020 decided to sell their other home and cottage and moved full time to Moira Lake.

Sharon is retired from a corporate management career in the insurance industry and in addition to enjoying time with  friends and family she has been enjoying many new and old pastimes !  Volunteer  work within her adopted community and participating on other Boards also helps keep her busy.

Sharon also describes herself as an “Opacarophile” (lover of sunsets !)
Operations Officer - Tracey Thompson
For Tracey, Moira Lake is more than just a place — it’s part of her family’s story. Tracey grew up in Madoc, where her family has resided for over 120 years. After inheriting the family property, Madoc has become a second home to Tracey, her children, and grandchildren.

With a professional background in sales and technology, she brings strong people skills and a commitment to building connections, while her experience as a short term rental owner, has given her the prospective of a local small business owner.

As an MLPOA Director, she’s dedicated to protecting Moira Lake so it can remain a beautiful, vibrant place where families create lifelong memories.
