The Mandate of the MLPOA
The Mandate of the Moira Lake Property Owners Association is:
- To promote the welfare of the property owners on Moira Lake;
- To develop interest in future growth from a political, economic, social and esthetic standpoint;
- To endeavour to preserve the rights and privileges of its members and associate members;
- To promote the health of the lake, its waterways and shores for the benefit of all persons and indigenous wildlife.”

q We are very closely associated with the local government, and the Reeve is our direct liaison;
q We are a member of the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations (FOCA);
q We are a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.

q We have dedicated Board Members and Zone representatives who are committed and responsive to our members and non-members;

q We resource information such as property insurance, weed harvesting and corporate discounts resulting in “real” financial benefits to our members.

q We donate funds to the local Fire Department for direct benefit to our members;
q We supported the Tri-Area Medical Centre;
q We support local charities – i.e., Community Care for Central Hastings;
q We are a member of the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations (FOCA) and the Local Chamber of Commerce;
q We support local initiatives such as the Kiwanis, the Skate Park.
